breathing exercises

Updated: Mar 28

sooooo, as promised in the video:

here is the breathing exercises I try to do every other day. alternated with meditation.

i usually alternate them with meditation on a day or two day basis.

the breathing cycle is as follows.

6:6 x 10

6:12 x 10

6:18 x 10

6:6:18 x 5

6:12:18 x 5

6:18:18 x 5

an explanation:

6:6 x 10 - ten times to inhale for 6 seconds and exhale for 6 seconds.

6:12 x 10 - ten times to inhale for 6 seconds and exhale for 12 seconds.

6:18 x 10 - ten times to inhale for 6 seconds and exhale for 18 seconds.

6:6:18 x 5 - five times to inhale for 6 seconds and then hold your breath for 6 seconds and exhale for 18 seconds.

6:12:18 x 5 - five times to inhale for 6 seconds and then hold your breath for 12 seconds and exhale for 18 seconds.

6:18:18 x 5 - five times to inhale for 6 seconds and then hold your breath for 18 seconds and exhale for 18 seconds.

some tips:

  1. i open a metronome app and set it to 60 BPM, this helps me with the count, every tick is 1 second. the volume should be quiet though, we don't want the clicking to be annoying. (just type into google metronome 60 bpm)

  2. find a comfortable position. you want to be still and this requires comfort.

  3. i would recommend to begin maybe with only the first three (without the breath holds). it can be very challenging.

  4. that's it.

this protocol is quite hard, ease into it.

love ya
